“In 1951, Fender officially introduced the world’s first commercially mass-produced solid-body Spanish-style electric guitar, a two-pickup beauty called the Telecaster (originally and briefly the Broadcaster).” The rest, as they say, is history.
Recently the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation of 2017 launched a new website and a campaign designed to attract the next generation of musicians. It is beautifully simple, just the iconic Fender style overlaid with tight, clear guitar playing. The first video (and the illustration above) features, among others, the American Professional Stratocaster—yeow.

Fender always has a classic / timeless style and bad ass flare at the same time.

I noticed immediately that the photo at the top of page appears to be a Stratocaster or the lower cost Jaguar, not a Telecaster. It was a disconnect between word and image. Fender makes legendary basses and amps also. Good design doesn’t matter if your content is conspicuously flawed.
