Working in a newsroom taught me to design in the moment. The time constraints of broadcast and print news force you to make quick decisions, work with limited resources, and learn to navigate the edge between quality and compromise.
It is both stressful and exhilarating.
Newspapers are snapshots of the world and its moments in pictures and stories. Anytime you want to know what news organizations are producing, take a look at the Newseum’s Front Page Exhibit where, every morning, more than 500 newspapers from around the world submit their front pages.
It is not only a great way to get the news, but a great source of newspaper design inspiration.
