I’m often drawn to ephemera such as these documents featured on GraphicsFairy.com. I especially like those in languages other than English because, when I don’t understand the wording, I don’t get hung up with subject and focus entirely on the graphic forms.

Chuck,
Scott Lewis, a fellow Richmonder here. Like you, I also love ephemera. If you have not heard of it, there is a place called Whitings Old Paper at the Mechanicsville flea market that has hundreds of thousands of pieces of ephemera in the form of old WW1 & WW2 ration books, posters, magazines, old photos, etc. I make at least one trip per year up there to spend hours digging through the boxes. My walls are decorated with many of my purchases. Cheers, Scott

Great to hear an endorsement Scott. I did not know about it until I saw the article in Style — my first thought was, “I’m going!”…
